Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Corrections (General / Dialysis / Mental Health) – 2nd Shift
Pay rate: $45-$50 an hr
Location: Grafton, OH 44044 (On-site)
Job Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (must be flexible; shifts/hours may change based on facility needs)
Job Summary
A-Line Staffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for an on-site corrections healthcare setting in Grafton, OH. This is a full-time contract role supporting patient care for an incarcerated population. Ideal candidates are clinically strong, calm under pressure, and able to work within a structured, secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients housed in a state-operated facility/institution
- Observe, assess, and document symptoms, reactions, and patient progress
- Perform nursing rounds; take and record vital signs
- Administer prescribed medications and ordered treatments (may include immunizations)
- Provide immediate care during emergencies and coordinate escalation when needed
- Complete required documentation and reports (medication logs, incident reports, inventory of controlled meds, etc.)
- Support care planning, staff education, and orientation of new staff as assigned
- May perform specialized procedures based on assignment (examples may include IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis support, phlebotomy, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license
- BLS/CPR certification
- Recent RN experience (corrections experience is a plus, not required)
- Ability to pass required screening/background requirements and comply with facility security rules
Important Facility Rules (Security)
- No cell phones permitted
- Must clear a metal detector
- No tobacco/vapes/cans; no personal items allowed inside
- Food/drinks must be in clear containers; limited water allowed
