Job Description:

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for credentialing and re-credentialing pharmacies into the network. This role involves verifying pharmacy licenses, permits, malpractice history, and other required credentials. Responsibilities include reviewing pharmacy submissions, primary source verification, maintaining accurate documentation, tracking recredentialing records, responding to pharmacy questions, providing technical support for online submissions, and issue resolution.


Credentialing Specialist Schedule & Location:

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (AZ Time)
Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85260, United States
Onsite as needed


Credentialing Specialist Salary/Wage:

$31.00/hour


Credentialing Specialist Duties:

Data entry of credentialing status and key details
Monitor and respond to high-volume email activity in a timely manner
Verify and document the status of pharmacy credentials from primary sources
Communicate with pharmacies via phone, email, and fax to resolve credentialing issues
Maintain accurate documentation and track recredentialing records
Provide pharmacies with technical support related to online questionnaire submission
Perform other related duties as assigned


Credentialing Specialist Required Qualifications:

1-3 years of related work experience, including:

  • Pharmacy credentialing – verification and documentation
  • Proficiency in Adobe Pro, Qualtrics, Phloot, Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Direct communication with pharmacies via phone, email, and fax
  • High data entry accuracy and speed

Credentialing Specialist License & Certifications:

Knowledge of pharmacy licensing requirements and regulations
Experience working with state boards of pharmacy and credentialing databases preferred


Credentialing Specialist Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
Ability to handle high-volume email and phone communication


Credentialing Specialist Education:

Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
Education or experience equivalent to a 4-year college degree is preferred
