A-Line Staffing is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer in the Washington DC area! This is a Direct Hire Full-Time opportunity and will be 100% in office.

**************This position is NOT a C2C role. US Citizenship is required*********************

Location: Washington, DC (100% On-Site) - *This position is not remote must be able to commute to the office*

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Pay: $150K/year

  • Eligible for a $4,000.00 Sign-On Bonus

Job Overview:

We're seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting a critical government customer located in Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the defense of cyber terrain and ensure the security of vital systems.

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting cybersecurity operations and contributing to the protection of government infrastructure and sensitive data. This is a direct hire, full-time position that offers an excellent benefits package, and the chance to make a significant impact on national security.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Firewall Management – Oversee and maintain firewall configurations to ensure secure network access.
  • Host Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) – Manage systems for detecting and preventing unauthorized access or security breaches.
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) – Analyze audit logs, conduct vulnerability scanning, and perform event management tasks to proactively detect and mitigate threats.
  • Incident Response – Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents, providing technical support and analysis.
  • Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting – Offer assistance in troubleshooting security issues and identifying root causes.
  • Project Support – Help track and manage projects using integrated master schedules, and deliver presentations to agency change boards.
  • Additional Duties – Perform other relevant tasks as assigned to support the agency’s cybersecurity initiatives.

Required Experience & Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field OR 4-7 years of professional experience in the cybersecurity field.
  • Must have one of the following certifications:
    • IAT Level III or IAM Level III (CASP, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, CISM)
  • In-depth understanding of systems engineering, cybersecurity operations, and incident response.
  • Expertise in user behavior analytics and general personnel management.
  • Strong technical skills in Powershell, Bash, and networking.
  • Experience with Firewall Configuration and Authentication Systems.
  • Solid knowledge of DNS/IP Configuration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with tools such as EPO/Trellix/ESS.
  • Experience with Tenable/ACAS/Nessus (including Nessus Manager, Nessus Network Monitor, and Tenable Security Center).
  • Experience using Splunk Enterprise, including migrating systems, configuring forwarders, and deploying Splunk applications.

Required Citizenship and Clearance:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must hold an active Top-Secret clearance.
