Cytotechnologist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $60 -$69 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Cytotechnologist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

Cytotechnologist Responsibilities

• Performs microscopic evaluation of prepared cytologic specimens from patients of all ages
• Provides technical support for the cytology laboratory by managing all aspects of the cytology workflow including receipt, accessioning, processing, staining, cover-glass mounting, laboratory information system (LIS) resulting and reporting
• Performs cytologic-based molecular testing (HPV) include result integration into the cytology report
• Performs or supports fine-needle aspiration and core biopsy adequacy procedures
• Additional supporting responsibilities include telephone/fax communication

Cytotechnologist Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• 2 years of prior Cyto Tech Experience
• Valid CT (ASC) Board of Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or science related degree
• BLS, ARRT, ACLS

Cytotechnologist Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rapid on Site Evaluations/FNA adequacy assessments
