A leading healthcare organization in Dover, DE is seeking an experienced Healthcare Finance Decision Support Manager to oversee cost accounting, service line profitability, and strategic financial analytics.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing the Decision Support and Cost Accounting systems, supporting executive leadership with financial modeling, and driving data-informed strategic decisions. This position is fully onsite.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the Cost Accounting system for service line profitability analysis
- Publish monthly Service Line and Physician Practice P&Ls and scorecards
- Develop financial feasibility models using STRATA, including:
- ROI (Return on Investment)
- NPV (Net Present Value)
- IRR (Internal Rate of Return)
- Payback Period analysis
- Support capital planning and evaluate competing strategic initiatives
- Lead productivity reporting and train department leaders on financial tools
- Partner with leadership to analyze budget variances and implement performance improvement plans
- Oversee reporting to external rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
- Support audits, cost reports, FEMA reporting, GME reporting, and insurance renewals
- Mentor decision support staff and oversee financial systems implementations
- Assist with STRATA rolling forecast module implementation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in:
- Cost accounting
- Budgeting
- Decision support
- Healthcare finance experience required
- STRATA financial software experience (or similar decision support systems)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s in Health Administration
- Financial or healthcare-related certifications
- Experience with hospital contracting and reimbursement
- Knowledge of bundled payments and physician compensation models
