Title: Data Architect II

Location: Charlotte, NC (4-days onsite, 1-day remote Hybrid schedule)

Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C and 3rd party candidates will NOT be considered

The Data Architect will be responsible for researching and conduct POCs to ensure solutions are built in alignment with platform principles and standards, driving the architecture for key cross team/cross product development projects (via architecture/design documents and developing code key modules). Job duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Developing data integration architectures and defining architecture standards and guidelines (architecture and design patterns)
  • Defining deployment topology by working with peers across the technology organization
  • Optimizing the use of client platforms and technologies
  • Working with business and delivery partners to understand future requirements and implications for architecture
  • Identifying architecture solution alternatives, driving business requirements, and availability of new technologies
  • Identifying new technologies and tools to support architecture(s) and determine architectural roadmaps
  • Encouraging early adoption of tools and architecture across the organization
  • Reviewing solutions and projects to ensure they are consistent with standard methodologies in data and analytics

Position Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of software design and architecture experience in AWS Cloud Services, AI/ML Data Analytics, and Snowflake.
  • Validated knowledge of successful design, architecture, and development using AWS Cloud technologies, including experience with AWS product categories like Analytics, Application Integration, Compute, Database, Serverless
  • Strong knowledge of data standards (security, ingestion, warehousing, storage)
  • Experience collaborating with Agile teams to recommend the right architectures with high quality and software standard methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including collaborative team player capabilities and the ability to work in a matrixed environment across LOBs
  • Experience with one or more Data Integration Technologies (Matillion, Pentaho, Datastage, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with APIs, Apigee, or Developer Portals preferred
  • Expertise in JSON, RESTful services, or similar related technology preferred
  • Expertise in R, Python, or predictive analytics preferred
  • Experience with Containers, such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, or Nexus, or other software defined networking technology preferred
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, including Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Packer, Git, or GitHub preferred
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or another relevant technical field; TOGAF Certification preferred
