Title: Data Scientist
Location: Troy, MI (Hybrid)
Note: This position is a direct hire on W2, and is NOT open to C2C. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
- Analyze and interpret data using statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Extract actionable insights and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models to address specific business challenges.
- Optimize and fine-tune models for performance and accuracy using various methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into existing systems or applications.
- Leverage AWS machine learning services to build predictive models for forecasting and identifying patterns in data.
- Utilize AWS data analysis tools to provide prescriptive analytics, offering data-driven recommendations and solutions.
- Create visually appealing and informative data visualizations to facilitate better understanding and communication of insights.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present findings in dashboards or reports for key stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.
- Explore and experiment with new methodologies to enhance the data analysis process and provide innovative solutions.
Required Experience (must have)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years in a professional setting.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and model development.
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools (preferably Tableau, PowerBI) to communicate results effectively.
- Proficiency in working with relational databases and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Solid understanding of data preprocessing techniques, feature engineering, and data transformation on the AWS platform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex business problems analytically.
- Strong communication skills to articulate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Helpful Experience (nice to have)
- Master’s degree in data science or related field.
- Experience working with AWS services such as AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, AWS Sage Maker, AWS Lambda, etc.
- Familiarity with AWS security practices and data governance principles.
- Graph Data Base and Graph Modeling experience (Neo4j- nice to have).
- TFS, Azure DevOps, or Jira project management/requirements management.
