Job Title: Correctional Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Leavittsburg OH 44430

Hours: 1st Shift M-Wed 6:10 am - 7:30 pm

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Scheduled Pay: Weekly

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to students hospitalized in student health services unit, or to inmates, juvenile offenders, or consumers housed in state-owned/operated facility/institution and staff, observes, assesses and records symptoms, reactions and progress of infirmary patients and clinic out-patients, makes nursing rounds, takes & re cords vitals, prepares and administers prescribed medications & ordered treatment plans and immunizations, monitors restrained patients on timely basis and provides immediate medical attention to emergencies, participates in staff development and education, reviews care plans written by staff & trains & orients new employees
• Organizes and oversees code blue' team; directs health care staff
• Performs clerical tasks; arranges for out-patient clinic appointments; arranges for medical examinations to be done by school physician; arranges for new & refilled prescriptions ordered by physicians through local pharmacy; performs administrative tasks and serves as liaison with others in organization and conducts and attends meetings; serves as instructor on occasion; serves as member or leader of problem solving teams or groups

LPN Requirements

• Graduated from a Licensed Practical Nurse Program
• Active LPN OH State License
• Minimum 6 months experience working as a LPN
