Detox Registered Nurse Summary and Highlights:

• Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
• Shift: Nights, 7pm – 730am | 36 hours per week
• 14-bed inpatient detox unit, 1:5/7

The Detox Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Detox Registered Nurse Details and Compensation:

• Location: Akron, OH 44304
• Payrate: Negotiable based on traveler status and experience
• Required Availability: Nights, 7pm – 730am | 36 hours per week | Some weekends and holidays

Detox Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

• 14-bed inpatient detox unit
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC
• Ratios 1:5/7 - will vary based on patient level of care needs.
• Voluntary unit for patients requesting detox from opiates, benzos, and alcohol. Length of stay is typically 3-5 days.
• Addiction medicine physicians admit the patients and social workers on the unit for assessment and discharge plans.
• May have to float to Behavioral Health (Psych) and Med/Surg as Helping hands where they answer call lights and help patients to the bathroom, etc.

Detox Registered Nurse Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing through the CCNE or ACEN
• Active OH RN License
• 2+ years of relevant experience | Detox
• Must be able to draw blood and start IVs
• BLS and CPI Blue card from Crisis Prevention Institute
• EPIC experience in the last year
