  • We are looking for an Operations Automation Specialist at Fidelity Investments.
  • This position is based in Merrimack, NH.
  • The Enterprise Technology team provides the necessary infrastructure and services to host, develop and test business applications.
  • Services include but are not limited to: infrastructure provisioning and support, application installation and deployments, network design and implementation, certificate management and production support.
  • We are looking for an automation engineer to join our Operations Team.
  • We will work together to develop tools and solutions that will enable us to create and maintain platforms faster and with great accuracy.
  • The successful candidate will be highly motivated, able to drive projects forward with limited supervision, and will have the ability to collaborate closely with multiple teams within the organization uncover requirements.
  • They will have expertise in python, shell scripting, HPOO and uDeploy.
  • Ansible would be a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to design and build automated processes keeping reproducibility, auditability and traceability in view for all deliverables.
  • Design and implement workflows to automate the build, release and upgrade processes for applications in lower Test and Production environments.
  • Troubleshoot build and deployment failures - facilitate resolution.
  • Create system dashboards that help improve product availability.
  • Evaluating and adopting new tools to improve build and release processes.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Expertise with Python, json and other markup languages, ksh scripting.
  • Familiar with the installation and management of middleware tools (apache tomcat, WebSphere).
  • Proficient exploiting REST APIs to achieve goals (data extraction, task automation).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical skills.
