Dialysis Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $26 per hour (overtime available).
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
- This position is a contract assignment with the potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs.
- Required availability: 6:15 AM – 2:15 PM, with Sundays and one additional weekday off (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, determined during orientation).
- Orientation must be scheduled on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 8:30 AM to approximately noon.
- Prepares dialysate according to established procedures and patient prescriptions.
- Obtains and documents pre-dialysis vitals, including weight and temperature.
- Inspects patient dialysis access, inserts needles, and initiates dialysis per protocol.
- Measures, calculates, and adjusts blood flow rates as needed.
- Administers anticoagulants per prescription and protocol.
- Monitors patient vitals and responds to alarms or dialysis-related emergencies.
- Documents treatment parameters and patient conditions, communicating with RNs as needed.
- Responds to dialysis-related emergencies and performs CPR if required.
- Discontinues dialysis, establishes hemostasis, and documents post-treatment vitals.
- Discards dialysis supplies and sanitizes equipment per protocols.
- Communicates medical or psychosocial concerns to the RN or Advanced Licensed Practitioner (ALP).
- Maintains professional conduct and participates in multidisciplinary processes.
- Ohio Dialysis Technician Certification required.
- Healthcare-professional level CPR certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.
- Must comply with agency policies, including CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and other governing agencies.
- TB test must be uploaded within 48 hours of start.
- No cell phones or smartwatches allowed inside the facility.
- Candidates must bring a valid driver’s license and report with items in a clear plastic bag.
- Submissions missing required documents will be rejected.
