JOB TITLE: Direct Support Professional - PRN

LOCATION: Ebensburg, PA

Pay rate: $19 hourly

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL JOB SUMMARY:

  • Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in completing daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation to ensure their comfort and well-being.
  • Encourage participation in recreational activities, community events, and social interactions to enhance quality of life and promote inclusion.
  • Follow individualized support and care plans, ensuring adherence to therapeutic, behavioral, and medical goals set by healthcare professionals.
  • Observe and document changes in physical or emotional health, administer prescribed medications, and respond promptly to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.
  • Teach and reinforce skills such as communication, problem-solving, and independence, supporting personal growth and self-sufficiency.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 5 people needed!
  • Work schedule: PRN- as needed, 11p-7a
  • The compensation for this position is $19 per hour; paid bi-weekly

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a caregiver, nurse assistant, CNA, nurse aide, direct support aide/professional
