Job Description:

The Director of Healthcare Regulatory Compliance is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance programs within a hospital environment. This role ensures adherence to federal healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and industry best practices while leading a team of compliance professionals. The position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Office of Inspector General (OIG), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and state healthcare regulatory bodies.


Schedule & Location:

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Location: Hospital setting in Dallas, TX 75235

Hourly Range:

  • $61.00 - $103.00

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage hospital compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement, educate, monitor, and improve compliance and privacy programs tailored to the hospital's needs.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital-specific federal and state healthcare regulations.
  • Conduct hospital-wide risk assessments and implement corrective action plans.
  • Serve as the Privacy Officer under leadership oversight, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy laws.
  • Respond to third-party audits and regulatory inquiries related to hospital operations.
  • Lead hospital compliance teams and oversee project milestones to maintain regulatory readiness.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical healthcare operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in hospital-based healthcare operations or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with hospital privacy and security-related investigations, reporting, auditing, training, risk assessments, and remediation procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital accreditation standards and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Leadership experience in hospital compliance and regulatory affairs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a hospital office setting with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and lead teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Education & Certifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience and certification in lieu of a degree).
  • Preferred: Master’s degree.
  • Certifications (Preferred, but can replace a degree with equivalent experience in hospital compliance):
    • Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC)
    • Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US)
    • Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS)
    • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
  • Certification renewals must be submitted no later than 7 calendar days after expiration.
