EDI / ERA ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Louisville KY 40222 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $23/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday - Friday
EDI / ERA ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The EDI / ERA Enrollment Specialist is responsible for managing the technical setup and registration of electronic claims and remittance processes within clearinghouses like Waystar. The role focuses on ensuring providers are correctly enrolled for EDI and EFT transactions while troubleshooting denials, monitoring workgroups, and resolving enrollment errors to maintain a seamless revenue cycle.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

EDI / ERA ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enrollment Management: Manage and optimize EDI, ERA, and remit enrollment processes within clearinghouse systems to ensure providers are properly set up for claims and EFT.
- Technical Documentation: Generate, track, and follow up on EDI agreements to ensure implementation deadlines are met.
- Account Monitoring: Investigate and resolve enrollment denials, errors, and correspondence with payers; maintain accurate documentation throughout the enrollment lifecycle.
- System Support: Address customer requests for clearinghouse issues, including setting up new users, adding permissions, and managing workgroups.
- Claim Oversight: Assist with monitoring and resolving rejected or denied claims within the clearinghouse platform.
EDI / ERA ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- EDI Expertise: Direct experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), ERA, remit, and claims enrollment.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience enrolling EDI and EFT transactions and a strong understanding of clearinghouse workflows.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and various EDI software/clearinghouse platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and clear verbal/written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Waystar Experience: Strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in Waystar, specifically setting up and monitoring workgroups.
- Clearinghouse Knowledge: Familiarity with Availity or other similar systems.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in healthcare revenue cycle management or billing environments.
- Claims Handling: Experience working specifically with denied or rejected claims within a clearinghouse.
