Echocardiographer - Ultrasound Technologist Job Description:

The Echocardiographer - Ultrasound Technologist will perform all modalities of echocardiography, including but not limited to 2D, M-Mode, Color Flow, Continuous Wave Doppler, Stress Echocardiography, Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms. The role involves analyzing clinical history, expanding examinations to answer clinical questions, and performing quantitative analysis, including systolic function, ejection fraction, diastolic function, and assessment of valvular abnormalities.

The Echocardiographer - Ultrasound Technologist will also participate in the maintenance of equipment, ensure cleanliness and quality assurance, and perform high-level disinfection of TEE probes.

Echocardiographer - Ultrasound Technologist Shift & Schedule:

• Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Weekends: No

• Holidays: No

• On-Call: No

  Echocardiographer - Ultrasound Technologist Salary/Wage:

  • $38.00 - $42.00/hr (based on experience and education)

  Echocardiographer - Ultrasound Technologist Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

• Certification:

  • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – Required

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – Required

  • Strain knowledge preferred

• Experience:

  • 2 years of experience performing echocardiography testing – Required

  • Onsite presence required

Echocardiographer - Ultrasound Technologist Key Skills & Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of echocardiographic procedures (2D, M-Mode, Color Flow, Doppler, etc.)

• Analyze patients' clinical history and tailor exams to address clinical questions

• Perform quantitative analysis of echocardiography studies, including ejection fraction, diastolic function, and valvular abnormalities

• Maintain equipment and perform regular cleaning and disinfection

• Participate in quality assurance processes and report critical values immediately

• Perform high-level disinfection of TEE probes
