A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Endoscopy Tech. This will be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Endoscopy Tech Hours
- 8a – 4pm (30 min lunch)
Endoscopy Tech Compensation
- The pay for this position is $23.00-25.00 an hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees.
Endoscopy Tech Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision of the provider, nursing leadership and /or a Registered Nurse (RN), performs a variety of nursing care functions within all aspects of Endoscopy.
- Will implement appropriate actions as assigned to provide support and comfort to the patient’s needs, observes the patient and communicates pertinent data to the RN .
- Performs technical patient care services under supervision of nursing leadership and a RN or the Charge RN.
- Assists physicians and RN with endoscopic procedures.
- Assists with pre/ intra / post endoscopic care of the patient including monitoring vital signs as necessary and as directed by the RN.
- Makes beds, cleans rooms, and serves as a runner for equipment during procedures and for transport of patients as necessary.
- Properly positions patient pre and intra procedure.
- Selects correct endoscope and performs quality control check pre-procedure to include air, water and white balancing.
- Enters patient and procedure information into endoscopy report writing software pre-procedure and intra procedure as necessary.
- Handles and manages procedure accessory equipment to include, but not limited to endoscopic forceps, polyp snares, endoscopic clips, retrieval nets/ graspers, heater probes and specimen collection containers.
- Supports airway via head positioning and performs oropharyngeal suctioning. -Provides abdominal pressure as guided by provider.
- Collects specimen and labels specimens with accuracy.
- Performs immediate post procedure endoscope pre-cleaning.
- Knows how to set up for, assemble / disassemble accessories for numerous technical procedures.
- Troubleshoots problems with endoscopes and necessary support equipment including suction, CO2 pumps and water pumps.
- Assembles and disassembles endoscopic instruments, accessories and related equipment.
- Cleans and processes equipment after procedures, including testing for leaks and other troubleshooting.
- Performs high level disinfection of endoscopes and accessories.
Endoscopy Tech Requirements
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
- Graduation from an Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, Surgical Technician, or Emergency Medical Tech training
- Familiarity with endoscopy equipment or scope/instrument reprocessing, preferred.
- Minimal two years health care exposure in a similar clinic setting, preferred.
- MUST HAVE ERCP, EUS, advanced endo procedure experience (EGD and colonoscopy only experience will not be sufficient)
- MUST HAVE BLS
- MUST HAVE CERTS: SGNA OR surgical technologist OR SPD
