Position Title: Test Engineer 3
Assignment Type: 1-year contract, temp-to-perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent based on business needs)
Pay Rate: $48.47–$55.81 per hour
Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Work Authorization/Access: Account with email access required
Position Overview
The Test Engineer 3 is responsible for directing and coordinating engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, testing, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices. This role plays a critical part in ensuring systems and components meet operational, functional, and performance requirements through structured testing and detailed data analysis.
Key Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate engineering activities associated with test planning and execution

Determine test conditions, methodologies, and phases of test operations

Coordinate and oversee operational, functional, and performance testing phases

Analyze, evaluate, and interpret test data to assess performance and compliance

Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for use by engineering and technical teams

Support development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and technical stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system performance

Ensure testing activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and timelines
Required Qualifications

5–7 years of relevant experience in test engineering or a closely related engineering discipline

Proven experience coordinating and executing complex test operations

Strong ability to analyze and interpret technical test data

Experience preparing clear, detailed technical reports for engineering audiences

Solid understanding of instrumentation, equipment testing, and calibration processes

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an engineering team

Proficiency with standard engineering tools, systems, and documentation practices
