Position Title: Test Engineer 3
Assignment Type: 1-year contract, temp-to-perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent based on business needs)
Pay Rate: $48.47–$55.81 per hour
Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Work Authorization/Access: Account with email access required

Position Overview

The Test Engineer 3 is responsible for directing and coordinating engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, testing, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices. This role plays a critical part in ensuring systems and components meet operational, functional, and performance requirements through structured testing and detailed data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate engineering activities associated with test planning and execution

  • Determine test conditions, methodologies, and phases of test operations

  • Coordinate and oversee operational, functional, and performance testing phases

  • Analyze, evaluate, and interpret test data to assess performance and compliance

  • Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for use by engineering and technical teams

  • Support development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and technical stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system performance

  • Ensure testing activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and timelines

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in test engineering or a closely related engineering discipline

  • Proven experience coordinating and executing complex test operations

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret technical test data

  • Experience preparing clear, detailed technical reports for engineering audiences

  • Solid understanding of instrumentation, equipment testing, and calibration processes

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an engineering team

  • Proficiency with standard engineering tools, systems, and documentation practices
