Title: Enterprise Architect

Location: Detroit, MI/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Note: This role is NOT open to C2C candidates

This is an advanced technical position that requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in the design, architecture, and implementation of high-performance e-commerce and financial systems and services. This position will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing innovative end-to-end software architecture that enables critical strategic objectives. The primary accountability for the position involves establishing and driving clear, effective, and innovative solution designs aligning reference architectures, blueprints, and business and IT strategies across the technology and enterprise landscape. Designs produced must meet both business and non-functional requirements while aligning to standard reference architectures. General job duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Acting as an SME for project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of technology solutions
  • In application architecture, designing inter-system/application structures and advising teams on standard requirements, security standards, methodologies, and processes
  • In business architecture, defining cross-business functional processes and advising teams of consistent processes and common business functions
  • Serving as an esteemed technical mentor to architecture and software development colleagues
  • Providing cost effective solutions that enable the business and maximize flexibility to integrate with other systems
  • Participating in proof of concepts to support the development of architecture principles, styles, patterns, and standards for systems across the business, translating corporate strategy into technical strategy
  • Leading cross-functional teams to drive peer reviews, gain consensus, and finalize proposed solutions with all stakeholders
  • Communicating and validating architecture technical leadership, program management, business line leadership, and executive level stakeholders
  • Reviewing legacy architecture, identifying components strategically aligned for re-architecture, and monitoring technology usage for end-of-life cycle

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect role, with in-depth knowledge of standards and technologies in IT architecture and infrastructure, including Information Security Policy and Procedures and the software development process
  • Broad, expert-level knowledge of enterprise platforms, operating systems, and key business functions and processes
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and new technologies, including the ability to apply trends to architectural needs
  • Experience with/knowledge of public cloud migrations and technologies, particularly AWS
  • Effective communication skills with senior IT leaders on program strategies and plans, including the ability to negotiate quality solutions
  • Ability to lead/interact with/provide architectural design guidance to project teams made up of employees, business partners, and/or supplier resources
  • 2+ years of experience driving microservice-based, Event-Driven applications
  • Demonstrated experience developing high performance applications relying on RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with React/AngularJS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Oracle, or other technology
  • Experience with professional grade architecture modeling and/or landscaping tools (e.g., BizzDesign, Archi, etc.)
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant field of study
  • Relevant Cloud or AWS Certifications
