Job Description
Title: EPIC Contractor
Location: Work from Home
Note: This role is NOT open to C2C or 3rd party candidates
This role will be responsible for supporting reporting and analytic needs around tracking, targeting, and measuring Care Management interventions for ACO patients, primarily by extracting and analyzing data from EPIC. This position will interface into the daily operations of the organization, and will work primarily with Microsoft SQL Studio to query EPIC Clarity and EPIC data extracts loaded into PowerBI, and potentially EPIC Cogito.
Position Duties:
- Work with Care Management operations to identify parts of the EPIC application that contain data needed for reporting; research Clarity to identify where data is stored and how to join tables
- Perform analysis to ensure data requested by the Care Management team returns results that are in line with what is expected; investigate and troubleshoot if analysis shows results that are different than expected
- Participate in discussions about potential enhancements to Care Management workflows within EPIC to ensure that upstream workflow changes can be captured in downstream reporting, as expected; outline changes needed to reporting queries or extracts to appropriately capture upstream workflow changes
- Design and build reports to track Care Management activities and assist Care Management in identifying priority patient populations, where there are opportunities to improve Care Management engagement
Position Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with EPIC Clarity
- 5+ years of experience programming using SQL
- Demonstrated ability to work with clinical and operations staff to scope business requests into technical steps to accomplish business goals
- Experience with EPIC Cogito preferred
- Experience building reports using Power BI or another BI tool preferred
