EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Covington GA 30014 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $26.50/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | 3rd Shift (11:30 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday–Friday)

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician role is perfect for a hands-on technician who can keep conveyor systems humming, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and tackle facility maintenance with confidence.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform regular facility inspections to identify and resolve issues
- Complete general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, controls, and mechanical repairs
- Troubleshoot and maintain automated conveyor systems
- Conduct both minor and major repairs on facility equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and maintain uptime
- Install, configure, and maintain equipment and machinery
- Maintain inventory of repair tools, parts, and supplies
- Adhere to all safety standards and quality requirements
- Document all maintenance, repairs, and installations
- Maintain MHE batteries as needed
- Support housekeeping and maintenance of facility and grounds
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 4+ years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience
- Strong experience with conveyor systems
- Electrical, mechanical, and controls knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot multiple voltage systems
- Flexibility for weekend overtime and potential shift changes
- Experience with 12V/24V AC/DC, 120V/208V, and 277V/480V electrical systems (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Understanding of work order systems (SAP preferred)
- Solid problem-solving skills with sound judgment in high-paced environments
