EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (CONVEYOR SYSTEMS) | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Covington GA 30014 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $29/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Overtime: Weekend overtime required as scheduled
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (CONVEYOR SYSTEMS) | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician (Conveyor Systems) will support facility operations and automated conveyor systems within a distribution and warehouse environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment installation while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (CONVEYOR SYSTEMS) | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated conveyor systems
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Conduct regular facility inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Complete plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC repairs as needed
- Install and set up equipment and machinery
- Maintain inventory of maintenance and repair supplies
- Document all maintenance, repair, and installation activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Assist with general facility maintenance and housekeeping
- Maintain material handling equipment (MHE) batteries as required
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (CONVEYOR SYSTEMS) | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 5-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience preferred
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining conveyor systems required
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts when needed
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated conveyor systems in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Electrical troubleshooting experience with:
- 12V and 24V AC/DC systems
- 120V/208V power systems
- 277V/480V power systems
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience using computerized maintenance management or work order systems (SAP preferred)
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to work in an active warehouse/distribution environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to respond to maintenance issues throughout the facility
- Availability for call-ins and off-shift support when required
