EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (MANUFACTURING) | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Sparks Glencoe MD 21152 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $35/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday, 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM (Four 12-hour shifts)
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (MANUFACTURING) | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing) is critical for ensuring production efficiency by performing routine setups, major maintenance, and complex troubleshooting of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (MANUFACTURING) | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine, major, and preventive maintenance (PM) on complex automated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components (from low-level signals up to 480 VAC).
- System Monitoring: Adjust and inspect production machinery to minimize downtime and waste while maximizing quality and output.
- Technical Documentation: Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Team Collaboration: Support engineering and production teams to meet facility-wide goals and objectives.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (MANUFACTURING) | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Proven experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment.
- Constant mental and visual attention is required to maintain close limits of accuracy and tolerances.
- Mechanical & Electrical: Proficiency in troubleshooting gearboxes, motors, belt/chain drives, and fluid/pneumatic plumbing.
- Diagnostic Tools: Skilled in the use of multimeters, sensor technology, and precision measuring instruments.
- Mathematics: Strong understanding of trades mathematics and calibration techniques.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word) for maintenance logging and data entry.
Preferred Skills
- Troubleshooting Industrial Control Systems (PLC ladder logic, VFDs, Servos, Relay logic).
- Familiarity with Robotics and Vision Systems.
- Basic experience with machine shop tools (lathe, mill, bearing press) and welding.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience with SAP maintenance modules or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
