Equipment Maintenance Technician | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Sumter, SC 29153 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $21.50/hr
- Required Availability: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM | 2-2-3-3 rotating schedule
Equipment Maintenance Technician | Summary and Highlights:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician role is critical to maintaining and improving production equipment performance and ensuring the quality and efficiency of operations.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Equipment Maintenance Technician | Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, change over, and maintain production equipment
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and resolve speed, waste, and performance issues
- Accurately log all maintenance and downtime information
- Ensure in-process quality standards and perform necessary rework
- Collaborate with production teams across shifts to maintain smooth operations
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Equipment Maintenance Technician | Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Previous work in high-speed manufacturing environments required
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience required
- Proficiency with feeler gauges and tools to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances required
- Familiarity with cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gear-boxes, vacuum/pneumatic systems, and basic troubleshooting required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs required
- Hands-on background in mechanical systems such as car engines, HVAC, low-voltage electronics, or machinist work required
- Strong teamwork and continuous improvement mindset
