EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Sumter SC 29153 – 100% On-site
• Payrate: $21/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 230pm – 1030pm

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will support production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy troubleshooting, keeping equipment running smoothly, and preventing downtime before it happens.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, operate, optimize, change over, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment
• Perform routine, corrective, and preventative maintenance (PM)
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs within capability; escalate major issues as needed
• Maintain detailed equipment logs tracking downtime and maintenance activities
• Monitor machine performance, control panels, and safety guards
• Start up and shut down equipment safely, including clearing jams
• Perform quality checks, process challenges, and document results
• Monitor in-process quality and address issues to prevent product holds
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support upstream and downstream production operations
• Perform rework as required
• Follow all safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements (QSR)
• Work collaboratively in a team-based environment

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Prior industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Ability to use hand tools and perform basic mechanical repairs
• Ability to read machine blueprints and follow technical procedures
• Steel-toe shoes required
