Executive Assistant – FMLA/LOA Coverage Job Description:
Under limited supervision from a Senior Level Executive or Department Chair, the Executive Assistant provides personal and administrative support services such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and conducting special projects. Work is highly confidential and requires thorough knowledge of the supervisor’s responsibilities. Responsibilities include handling sensitive communications, preparing complex reports, and managing administrative logistics in support of leadership functions.

Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible)

Location: Detroit, MI 48202 (Hybrid)

Contract Length: 7-week contract (Potential to convert to a permanent role; not guaranteed)

Executive Assistant – FMLA/LOA Coverage Salary/Wage:

$25 – $30/hour
Executive Assistant – FMLA/LOA Coverage Duties:

Compose correspondence, forms, reports, and charts—often confidential in nature
-
Prepare complex administrative reports and conduct data/information gathering
-
Screen visitors and calls; refer inquiries appropriately
-
Schedule meetings, conferences, and travel
-
Maintain supervisor’s calendar and manage meeting logistics
-
Maintain and organize confidential files and records
-
Take and distribute meeting minutes
-
Handle departmental purchasing and supply requisitions
-
Support various executive-level administrative functions
Executive Assistant – FMLA/LOA Coverage Required Qualifications:
-
5–7 years of progressively responsible administrative support experience
-
Executive assistant experience required
-
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
-
Ability to manage confidential information professionally
-
Comfortable interacting with high-level internal and external stakeholders
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant administrative software
-
Academic research background preferred
Executive Assistant – FMLA/LOA Coverage Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or temperature fluctuations
Executive Assistant – FMLA/LOA Coverage Education:

Required: High School Diploma or GED
-
Preferred: Associate’s degree in business or secretarial studies
