FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER JOB SUMMARY:

• Provide acute care, wellness exams and chronic disease management for patients, 18 months and older, according to established guidelines.
• Conduct physical exams and health screenings that included blood pressure and cholesterol checks as well as TB skin tests. Performed exams and completed paperwork for sports and camp physicals.
• Process quick-result lab tests for certain diseases such as influenza, strep, and urinary tract infections; obtained specimens for confirmation of test results with outside laboratories.
• Wrote prescriptions; administer vaccinations for seasonal/H1N1 flu, COVID-19 and other diseases.
• Counsel and educate patients on topics that included proper use of prescription drugs and OTC medications as well as preventing the spread of disease.
• Document patient visits using electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Serve as single point of contact from initial consultations through collection of payments.
• Recommend patient referrals to primary care physicians and urgent care facilities as appropriate.

• Clinic hours are as follows: Mon-Thu 8:00 am – 9:00 pm; Fri 9:00 am – 6:00 pm; Sat-Sun 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Board-certified, licensed NP in the State of Massachusetts
• Minimum two years of experience as an NP in primary care and/or hospital medicine required
• DEA & NPI registered
• EMR proficient
• Bilingual- fluent in English & Spanish required
