Job Description
Family Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care / Urgent Care) — Wilmington, NC (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $74.87/hr (W2)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week
- Mon–Fri: 8:30am–7:30pm
- Sat: 9:00am–5:30pm
- Sun: 9:00am–4:30pm
Setting: Onsite, patient-facing (safety-sensitive role)
Assignment Length: ~26 weeks (temporary)
Overview
We’re hiring a Nurse Practitioner to provide evidence-based primary and family care in an outpatient clinical setting. You’ll work alongside a dedicated clinical care team, delivering high-quality patient care with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and care planning.
What You’ll Do
- Perform accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for common acute and chronic conditions
- Provide health counseling, education, and disposition planning
- Support preventive care, screenings, and chronic condition management
- Complete light administrative tasks tied to patient flow and clinic operations (opening/closing, follow-ups, documentation, etc.)
- Collaborate with the clinical team to drive strong patient outcomes
Family Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care / Urgent Care) Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care and/or urgent care (required — do not apply without this)
- Active NP license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- RN/APRN license in good standing (no current or prior disciplinary actions)
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- High School Diploma or GED
Additional Details
- Every other weekend required; possible holiday rotations
- DEA registration may be required during onboarding (as applicable)
