Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Location: Waynesville, NC
Type: In-person, patient-facing | Minimum 30 hours/week | Varied weekdays 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM | Every other weekend + possible holiday rotations
Training: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM for 3 weeks

Position Summary:

Nurse Practitioners work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team to provide evidence-based primary and family care for a panel of patients. The team partners with the provider daily to drive better outcomes, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health counseling, and disposition planning. This role reports to the Practice Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary and family care: accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, and disposition planning.
  • Perform administrative duties: opening/closing clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Manage patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive health outcomes.
  • Engage patients in healthy lifestyle choices, chronic condition management, behavioral health, wellness, and health screenings.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current National Board Certification and state license for Advanced Practice Nursing.
  • DEA registration application required at time of offer acceptance.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (copy required upon offer acceptance).
  • Minimum of 1 year recent primary care experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Knowledge of quality measurement in chronic disease management.
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask, work independently, and practice autonomously.
  • Ability to collaborate in a remote clinical care team culture.
  • Willingness to obtain multi-state licensures as needed.
