Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician/Engineer to support the remediation and servicing of MedBank and Pyxis devices, which are used in pharmacy automation. This is a travel-heavy position with assignments across various locations in the US. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage travel logistics effectively. A Pharmacy Tech or Rx background is preferred, especially with experience on Pyxis machines or related devices. The role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in healthcare settings such as nursing homes and hospitals.

Schedule & Location:

• Schedule: 8-10 hour days, with possible off-hours work to access OR suites.
• Location: Heavy travel position; the technician will be assigned to locations closest to their home base as much as possible, with regional and national travel.

Salary/Wage:

• Pay Rate: $23.61/hr

Duties:

• Perform updates and remediation on MedBank and Pyxis devices (pharmacy automation equipment).
• Track and maintain administrative data as required.
• Accurately document time worked and submit on time.
• Book travel using the designated travel booking tool (airfare, hotel, rental car provided).
• Travel primarily on Mondays and Fridays for assignments, with occasional remediation work on travel days.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Comfort working in nursing homes and hospitals.
• Experience with MedBank or Pyxis devices is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 70 lbs, carry 40 lbs for up to one hour, and work in physical postures like kneeling, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to operate hand-powered and powered tools.
• Ability to drive up to 6 hours in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to wear a respirator if needed and pass a medical evaluation.

Education:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Tech or Rx background is a plus, especially with experience on Pyxis machines or related medical devices.
