Forklift Operator | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Plainfield IN 46168 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $17.50/hr
- Required Availability: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Forklift Operator | Summary and Highlights:
The Forklift Operator will support warehouse operations in a busy distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of material handling equipment (MHE) and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Forklift Operator | Responsibilities:
- Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments using the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Operate material handling equipment such as Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stockers
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory and shipping/receiving documentation
- Safely handle pallets to prevent damage
- Replenish picking locations and retrieve products
- Assist in various warehouse functions and serve as a backup during absences or vacation
Forklift Operator | Requirements:
- Education: High school Diploma or GED
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Prior experience material handling equipment such as Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stockers) required
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Comfortable using RF scanners and interpreting distribution documents
- Basic computer skills and general warehouse knowledge
- Steel-toed shoes required
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, basic arithmetic)
