Forklift Operator | Details and Compensation:

• Location: Plainfield IN 46168 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $17.50/hr
• Required Availability: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Forklift Operator | Summary and Highlights:

The Forklift Operator will support warehouse operations in a busy distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of material handling equipment (MHE) and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Forklift Operator | Responsibilities:

• Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments using the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Operate material handling equipment such as Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stockers
• Identify and report discrepancies in inventory and shipping/receiving documentation
• Safely handle pallets to prevent damage
• Replenish picking locations and retrieve products
• Assist in various warehouse functions and serve as a backup during absences or vacation

Forklift Operator | Requirements:

• Education: High school Diploma or GED
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Prior experience material handling equipment such as Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stockers) required
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Comfortable using RF scanners and interpreting distribution documents
• Basic computer skills and general warehouse knowledge
• Steel-toed shoes required
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, basic arithmetic)
