Warehouse Operations – Plainfield, IN

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
Location: Plainfield, IN
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate loading and unloading of products within the distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Identify and report discrepancies between inventory counts and shipping/receiving documents.
• Handle pallets carefully to promote safety and minimize product damage.
• Retrieve and replenish products in designated warehouse locations.
• Support other warehouse functions and serve as a backup when needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (1 year of relevant experience required if no diploma/GED).
• Experience operating multiple types of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including:
• Order Pickers
• Reach Trucks
• Counterbalance (Slip & Clamp)
• Dock Stocker

Skills & Requirements

• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Capable of reading and interpreting distribution documents.
• Proficient in using an RF scanner and PC.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• General knowledge of warehouse operations.
• High initiative and results-driven attitude.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs in some areas.
• Normal vision required (corrected to 20/40 in each eye).
• Ability to safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Exposure to moderate-to-loud noise, moving machinery, temperature variations, and airborne particles.
