Job Description
A-Line Staffing is now hiring a HIM Analyst (RHIA or RHIT) in Morristown, NJ 07960. The HIM Analyst (RHIA or RHIT) would be working for a Major Healthcare System and has career growth potential.
HIM Analyst (RHIA or RHIT) Highlights:

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Pay Range: $25-30 Hourly

Certification: Must have RHIA or RHIT certification
HIM Analyst (RHIA or RHIT) Responsibilities:
-
Validates, processes and sends copies of medical records for all Atlantic Health facilities, including Atlantic Medical Group, Primary Care Partners and Atlantic Health Partners.

Processes all releases in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service.

Verifies authenticity of all authorizations prior to execution focusing on the core elements of an authorization.

Courteously answers the telephone for both internal and external customers.

Retrieves, sorts and stamps all incoming mail in preparation for logging and invoicing.

Retrieves faxes and places the faxed documents with the daily mail in chronological order in preparation for processing.

Logs all release of medical information in the ROI tracking system to indicate the requestor, address, date sent, and the type of documents sent.

Password protects all electronic media. Certifies medical records as requested/needed.

Processes in-person requests during hours of operation, accepts and logs payment (cash, check, credit card) as well as validates identity.

Processes incoming checks and validates the medical record in either printed or electronic media form prior to final release.

Tracks and orders office supplies for the department.

Forwards all questionable requests for release of information to HIM Supervisor prior to any release of information.
HIM Analyst (RHIA or RHIT) Required Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting working with electronic medical record systems.

Must have RHIA or RHIT certification.

Required Education: Associate degree in Health Information Technology or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management OR High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years of working in healthcare.

Preferred: Experience in release of information.

Preferred Certification/Licensure: AHIMA credential.

Must be able to work independently, exercising critical thinking and demonstrating a high tolerance for task interruption and the ability to multi-task, all the while maintaining a positive helpful attitude.

Excellent verbal communication.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and manage a large volume of incoming calls for the entire shift.
