Hardware Test Engineer (Electrical / SSD Lab) Compensation
- The pay for this position is $50.00 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Hardware Test Engineer (Electrical / SSD Lab) Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, Day Shift, 8 hours per day, 100% onsite in Boise
Hardware Test Engineer (Electrical / SSD Lab) Responsibilities
- Perform design and development engineering assignments for electronic hardware products
- Set up and execute electrical lab bench testing for SSD and related systems
- Review schematics and define test configurations
- Test and validate power systems including switching regulators and LDOs
- Use Linux command line tools to collect logs and run diagnostics
- Use Python to support test automation and data analysis
- Document test procedures, results, and troubleshooting activities
- Debug hardware failures and support root-cause investigations
- Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
Hardware Test Engineer (Electrical / SSD Lab) Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3–4 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of equivalent hands-on experience without a degree
- 3–4 years of electrical lab bench testing experience
- Experience with SSD hardware or similar electronic platforms
- Strong Linux command-line skills
- Working knowledge of Python
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Knowledge of switching regulators, LDOs, and power delivery systems
- Strong written and verbal technical communication
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Hardware Test Engineer (Electrical / SSD Lab) Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or R&D lab environment
- Experience creating test documentation and procedures
- Semiconductor or storage hardware experience
