Healthcare Compliance & Privacy Specialist - Position Overview:
We are looking for a Healthcare Compliance & Privacy Specialist to oversee the compliance and privacy of health information in accordance with federal and state laws. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring privacy-related components to ensure compliance with regulations such as OCR, OIG, DOJ, CMS, and HHS. You will be responsible for creating policies, conducting training, and managing internal compliance audits.

• Shift Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Location: Dallas, TX 75235, United States
• Employment Type: Direct hire, full-time

Healthcare Compliance & Privacy Specialist - Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Range: $61.00 - $103.00
• Salary Range: $127,004.80 - $216,008

Healthcare Compliance & Privacy Specialist - Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement privacy compliance programs across the organization.
• Manage cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of compliance-related tasks.
• Respond to third-party audits and inquiries, including those from government agencies.
• Develop and implement corrective actions for any compliance violations.
• Lead or co-lead various compliance committees.
• Monitor and apply external regulatory guidance and industry best practices.
• Provide training and education on compliance issues across the workforce.
• Ensure that all activities comply with healthcare privacy and security regulations.

Healthcare Compliance & Privacy Specialist - Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 8 years of experience in healthcare operations or compliance.
• Strong background in healthcare privacy and security, including investigations, auditing, and risk assessments.
• Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), or Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or similar credentials.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
• Proven ability to foster a culture of compliance and accountability.

Healthcare Compliance & Privacy Specialist - Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using computers and office equipment.

Healthcare Compliance & Privacy Specialist - Educational Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Master’s degree.
