PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
  • Location: Asheville NC 28805 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $64.27/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday–Friday schedule with rotating hours
    • Rotating between 9:00 AM–7:00 PM and 10:00 AM–8:00 PM

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Pharmacist will join a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. This position is responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or medication-related concerns.
  • Ensure all pharmaceutical practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Support wellness initiatives, including smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related concerns and improve patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy personnel.

PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the state pharmacy board.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Experience supervising pharmacy technicians or support staff.
  • Experience providing patient education and medication counseling.
  • Knowledge of smoking cessation programs and chronic disease management.
  • Experience with medication compounding and sterile preparation.
