Home Health Registered Nurse Compensation
- The pay for this position is $48.69 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Home Health Registered Nurse Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
- The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Home Health Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess the health of individuals and implement care plans, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, and case management.
- Observe, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing support for individuals with chronic or acute conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate programs addressing health needs.
- Coordinate communication and actions between various disciplines related to health and safety.
- Manage medication processes, including ordering, monitoring, discontinuation, and proper disposal per physician instructions.
- Ensure policies for medication administration, errors, storage, and destruction are up to date and reviewed annually.
- Monitor changes in client conditions and provide progress reports to physicians.
- Transcribe or oversee transcription of physician phone orders and medical reports.
- Complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual nursing documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate and routine documentation of individuals' health status in nursing notes.
- Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines for furnishings, equipment, and supplies.
- Supervise and direct Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses as needed.
- Schedule and follow up on health-related appointments to ensure timely care.
- Communicate with inpatient nursing and discharge coordinators regarding hospitalized individuals.
- Conduct new employee training and annual recertification on health and safety topics.
- Train unlicensed staff on person-specific health maintenance, safety, and disease prevention needs.
Home Health Registered Nurse Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Ability to analyze complex medical information and make sound decisions.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.
Home Health Registered Nurse Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in community or small facility healthcare settings.
