Location: Virginia Beach, VA 23452 (Onsite/field-based in the community)
- Coverage Area:Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake
Pay: $16.86/hr.
- Mileage Reimbursement:$0.43/mile
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (no on-call)
- Productivity expectation: 32-34 visits per week
Position Overview
We are hiring a Hospice CNA to support patients in their homes and/or care facilities. This role focuses on providing compassionate daily living assistance, following established care plans, and communicating patient status updates to the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing and hygiene
- Follow CNA standards of care including infection control
- Observe and report changes in condition (ex: skin breakdown, new complaints) to the RN/SN
- Support basic household tasks as needed (making beds, laundry, dishes, meal prep)
- Provide guidance to families on nutrition, cleanliness, and household activities as appropriate
- Maintain accurate communication and teamwork in a hospice environment
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Active CNA license/certification in the state of Virginia
- CPR certification (required)
- Ability to travel within the assigned counties (mileage reimbursed)
