Medical Billing Specialist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $19.50 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Medical Billing Specialist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment expected to last approximately 90 days with potential to extend based on business needs

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Hybrid schedule – only 4 in-office days per month required in Monroeville, PA

• Must live within 1 hour of the Monroeville office

Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities

• Qualify, prepare, and submit claims to major medical insurance providers

• Collaborate with billing and reimbursement staff to ensure accurate, timely claims processing

• Use multiple operating systems and web-based programs to retrieve documentation and resolve claims

• Ensure compliance with all billing regulations and internal policies

Medical Billing Specialist Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare reimbursement, medical billing, or insurance claims

• Minimum 6 months working with healthcare reimbursement systems

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Strong customer service and teamwork skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

• Must have a quiet, distraction-free home workspace and provide a screenshot of internet speed with resume

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required

• Mandatory attendance for the first 90 days
