Job Description
Title: Break Fix IT Technician
Location: Detroit, MI (role will support multiple locations in and around the Metro Detroit area)
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 4:30PM EST
The IT Technician will participate in account creation, modification, and termination, as well as providing second-level IT support for access-related issues generated by the Service Desk Team. The IT Technician will participate in providing support to customers by resolving semi-complex technical account and connectivity problems. They will maintain documented log of incidents and requests so that recurring problems can be reported to functional areas and resolved efficiently. IT Technicians will perform semi-complex work within technical or paraprofessional areas, effectively identifying issues as they occur and taking appropriate steps to resolve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.
Position Requirements:
- 1-3 year of IT experience in a Field Technician, Break Fix Technician, or Level 2 IT Technician role; strong, effective customer service skills
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM
- Experience supporting desktop and laptop computer systems, as well as printer technology
- Experience working within a Windows 10 environment
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software failures
- An eagerness to learn & work within a team environment
- A minimum of a HS Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors Degree, 1-2 years of vocational technical training, or relevant Information Technology / Support Certifications, such as an A+ Certification, preferred
