IV Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

IV Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
• The required availability for this position is 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM, with rotating start and end times based on workload requirements.

IV Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in an IV clean room compounding environment
• Prepare sterile IV medications in accordance with pharmacy standards and government regulations
• Fill and prepackage medications for dispensing
• Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription checks, including medication identification and post-verification packaging
• Enter prescription and billing data into the computer system to support reimbursement processing
• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications
• Maintain proper inventory practices, including receiving, rotating, and documenting medications and supplies
• Post and track lot numbers and expiration dates and assist with physical inventory
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including equipment calibration, safety checks, and cleanliness

IV Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• Must be a New York State Registered Pharmacy Technician
• Sterile IV compounding experience is REQUIRED
• Experience working in an IV clean room environment
• Ability to work rotating shifts as required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

IV Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Prior hospital, infusion center, or specialty pharmacy experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sterile compounding procedures
