Pay Rate: $68.00 per hour
Position Overview:
Join the 2026 Vaccination Initiative as an Immunizing Pharmacist Float in a patient-facing role focused on improving community health through the administration of immunizations. This is a seasonal opportunity with assignment start dates expected as early as 8/23/2026 (timing will vary by location) and continuing through the end of 2026. Assignments may be extended based on business needs, convert to a permanent position, or offer the opportunity to return for future vaccination seasons.
Assignment Dates: Approximately 8/23/2026 – End of 2026 (varies by location)
Job Type: Temporary with opportunity to extend or convert to permanent based on business needs.
Availability Requirements:
- You may choose your own days of availability unless otherwise noted by the hiring manager or site.
- Current anticipated schedule for this location is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (approximately 35 hours per week).
- Schedule and assignment dates may vary based on business needs and location.
Responsibilities:
- Administer multiple immunizations, including but not limited to flu, shingles, COVID-19, and other vaccines.
- Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring safe and accurate vaccine administration.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
- Foster a positive team culture built on collaboration, enthusiasm, and patient-focused care.
- Apply professional knowledge and clinical judgment to support healthy outcomes for patients.
Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacy License in the State of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- Current Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (such as APhA).
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- No pending felony charges or convictions involving controlled substances.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with CVS or Aetna is preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable working in an onsite, patient-facing environment.
Work Environment:
- 100% onsite position.
- Direct patient interaction throughout the assignment.
- Fast-paced community healthcare setting supporting seasonal vaccination efforts.
Candidate Requirements:

- Active California Pharmacy License.
- Current Immunization Certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Eligibility to administer immunizations.
- Ability to work onsite.
- No DEA exclusions.
- No pending felony charges or convictions involving controlled substances.
- Availability to commit to the required seasonal schedule.
- Availability to work at least 2–3 shifts per week throughout the vaccination season.
