NOW HIRING! A-Line Staffing is seeking an Industrial Control Tech for an opening in Kansas City, MO. This associate will be providing operational support to the shift, along with preventative and predictive support. They associate will need to wear Safety Toe Shoes. APPLY NOW!

 

Pay range: $30-$37/hr Depending on Experience

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday - Sunday Start time at 2pm, Mon-Thur Start time 5pm 

Training Schedule: Will train on first shift (Monday – Friday, 8am - 4:30pm) for about 30-45 days before moving to 2nd shift

 

Details:

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Understand high and low voltage equipment
  • Have previous conveyor and/or manufacturing troubleshooting experience
  • Have working knowledge of electrical theory to ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Have working knowledge of preventative maintenance
  • Be able to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues
  • Would like to see tenure somewhere on the resume (3+ years preferred) with one company

Duties
  • Ensures effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
  • Diagnoses Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System-related error conditions occurring in the Distribution Center and repairs appropriately.
  • Oversees any maintenance, modifications, and/or system upgrades of Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System controls.
  • Assesses the efficiency of materials handling equipment and automated picking systems and defines necessary modifications.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations.
  • Maintains CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed on equipment in the Distribution Center.
  • Manages the inventory of spare parts.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet productivity goals.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Requires some technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years related and progressively responsible experience.
  • Strong Mechanical background preferred.
  • Excellent technical and operational knowledge of mechanical electrical and electronic equipment and systems Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred. 
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Strong aptitude for repair and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers.
