Job Description

Title: Instructional Designer

 

Pay Rate: $28.57/hr

 

Location: Work from Home

 

Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

 

Note: This is a W2 contract position – C2C, 1099, or 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered

 

The Instructional Designer possesses and provides expertise in the full life cycle of instructional design processes (ADDIE or other industry accepted models) to design, develop, and implement effective instructional materials, learning resources, and content.

 

Position Duties:

 

·         Maintain progressive knowledge of trends in instructional design, learning methodologies, and learning technology solutions

·         Routinely research current trends, tools, and techniques associated with content/curriculum design and development

·         Create design standards and templates, and integrate technology-based tools into the development process

·         Evaluate and assess instructional effectiveness and business impact of programs, and support continuous improvement of learning solutions

·         Maintain ownership and accountability for larger scale learning and development and HR initiatives

·         Partner with internal customers and clarify business objectives, identify performance gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions

·         Lead projects, including negotiating project scope and timeline, and meeting all deadlines within quality expectations

·         Actively communicate with stakeholders and ensure solutions have demonstrable business impact

·         Support the training team in strategy execution and team working environment

 

Position Qualifications:

 

·         3-5+ years of Instructional Design experience, with proven ability to design and build innovative, interactive, creative content, including online programs, job aids, web sites, and instructor materials; link to online portfolio demonstrating industry work experience and projects preferred

·         Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design theory, and models

·         Experience with multimedia authoring, graphic creation tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

·         Expert-level skill in the use of Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Rise to create interactive e-learning coursework

·         Experience with remote work environments and meeting tools, such as Microsoft Teams.

·         Strong project management skills with ability to facilitate multiple, complex projects with tight timeframes in a matrixed environment

·         Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Ability to function independently and as a team member as a committed self-starter

·         Strong organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail

·         Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs preferred

·         Graphic Design experience, specifically in the development of eLearning content, preferred

·         Healthcare industry experience, specifically behavioral health, preferred

·         Familiarity with military or federal contracting preferred

·         A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Education, or other relevant field; relevant industry Certification(s) in training, development, learning, or performance improvement preferred
