Case Manager - Benefit Investigation | Details and Compensation:
- Location: Remote
- Payrate: $20/hr
- Required Availability: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST | Sept Start Date
Case Manager - Benefit Investigation | Summary and Highlights:
The Case Manager - Benefit Investigation will support patients through the benefit investigation process and beyond, helping them gain access to essential specialty therapies. You’ll be the go-to support for patients, providers, and pharmacies—helping navigate insurance hurdles and ensure timely delivery of medications.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Case Manager - Benefit Investigation | Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire care journey, from benefit investigation to medication delivery.
- Conduct benefit verifications and collaborate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and payers.
- Assist with obtaining prior authorizations and appeals as needed.
- Help patients understand their coverage, including out-of-pocket responsibilities.
- Respond to questions from patients, providers, and stakeholders.
- Process enrollments via phone, fax, and electronic systems.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Handle inbound calls, aiming for one-call resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
Case Manager - Benefit Investigation | Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 2+ years of experience in a high-touch, customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer proficiency (data entry, MS Office).
- Prior experience in a Hub or Patient Support Services role.
- Knowledge of Medicare (A, B, C, D), Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies required.
- Familiarity with specialty pharmacy or healthcare reimbursement.
- Understanding of medication adherence challenges.
Remote Work Requirements:
- Must reside within the United States
- Dedicated, distraction-free work environment
- High-speed, hardwired internet connection required:

- Maximum ping rate: 30ms
- Wi-Fi, satellite, cellular, or dial-up connections are not acceptable
