Intake Coordinator Compensation

• The pay for this position is $16.38 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Intake Coordinator Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

• The required schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

• Onsite role located in El Paso, TX

Intake Coordinator Responsibilities

• Process patient referrals from various sources

• Ensure all documentation is collected to move referrals forward

• Complete referral checklists and enter data into system

• Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations

• Notify patients/caregivers of insurance coverage and payment responsibilities

• Coordinate with sales and pharmacy staff to ensure smooth intake process

• Maintain detailed progress notes and uphold patient confidentiality

Intake Coordinator Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare referral/intake experience

• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance

• Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification

• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or some college coursework

• Strong phone etiquette and multitasking skills

• Customer service experience in a healthcare setting

• Detail-oriented, fast learner, and proactive communication skills
