R&D Engineering Intern Highlights

• The pay for this position ranges from $19 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and academic level.
• The position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• This is an onsite position located in Salt Lake City, UT.
• The internship is part-time and year-round.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will assist with engineering assignments and apply engineering principles to various projects.
• You will initiate and revise documentation and track it through the approval process.
• Maintaining professional relationships with internal teams, external customers, and support staff will be essential.
• You will participate in cross-functional teams and provide technical support on components, materials, systems, and equipment.
• Additionally, you will assist in developing physical and functional test requirements to meet specifications and regulations.
• You will write and review protocols, reports, and data, and conduct testing according to established methods.
• You will also conduct validation studies on equipment and processes, perform design control activities, and analyze design inputs.
• Preparing and presenting written and oral updates on project progress and technical discussions will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

• To qualify for this position, you must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study, such as Engineering.
• Ideal candidates will be at the Junior or Senior level in their program.
• Basic technical writing skills and the ability to read technical drawings are required, as well as a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them.
• You should be able to perform testing following written instructions and protocols and have familiarity with basic descriptive statistics and data analysis.
• Proficiency in basic software applications is necessary, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
• You must have strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently and take initiative.
