LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday with rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM, including rotating weekends
LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Accept and dispense prescription medications
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with legal and regulatory standards
- Confirm prescribed medications are appropriate and safe for patients
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
- Counsel patients on medication use, storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
- Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
- Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
- Compound medications for internal and external use
- Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
- Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacy technicians and clerks
- Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and healthcare practitioners
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to optimize patient care
LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of Colorado
- Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy
- Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient counseling skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care, senior living, behavioral health, or specialty pharmacy
- Closed-door pharmacy experience
- Sterile compounding experience
- Previous experience supervising pharmacy staff
