LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday with rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM, including rotating weekends

LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Responsibilities

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with legal and regulatory standards
  • Confirm prescribed medications are appropriate and safe for patients
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
  • Counsel patients on medication use, storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
  • Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
  • Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
  • Compound medications for internal and external use
  • Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacy technicians and clerks
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
  • Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and healthcare practitioners
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to optimize patient care

LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Requirements

  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of Colorado
  • Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
  • Strong clinical knowledge and patient counseling skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

 

LTC (Closed Door) Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in long-term care, senior living, behavioral health, or specialty pharmacy
  • Closed-door pharmacy experience
  • Sterile compounding experience
  • Previous experience supervising pharmacy staff
