LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is rotating shifts between 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM with rotating weekends (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
- Ensure medications prescribed are appropriate and compliant with regulations
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
- Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions
- Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
- Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, etc.)
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
- Identify and resolve drug-related problems in coordination with physicians and healthcare providers
LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Requirements
- Active Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience working in a pharmacy setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medication safety
- Ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy environment
- Experience with sterile compounding
- Experience in a closed-door pharmacy setting
