A-Line Staffing is now hiring a LTC Pharmacist (3rd shift, 7on/7off) in Albany, NY 12205. The Pharmacist would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

LTC Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
LTC Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
- The required availability for this position is 7 on / 7 off, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
LTC Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Accept and dispense prescription medications according to legal and ethical standards.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
- Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, storage, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Compound medications for external or internal use and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and clerks.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other healthcare professionals.
LTC Pharmacist Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required.
- Licensed by the NY State Board of Pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.
LTC Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising pharmacy staff.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, patient care, and medication safety.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
