LTC Pharmacist (Closed Door Pharmacy)
Location: Horsham, PA 19044
Pay Rate: $64.27 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with alternating weekends
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract Assignment
Start Date: Priority to candidates able to start as soon as possible.
A-Line Staffing is now hiring an LTC Pharmacist for a leading long-term care closed-door pharmacy in Horsham, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist seeking a fast-paced pharmacy environment with a consistent daytime schedule and the potential to gain experience with a respected healthcare organization.
LTC Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or drug-related concerns.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
- Maintain complete and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
- Counsel healthcare providers and patients on medication usage, dosing, storage, side effects, and interactions.
- Prepare and compound medications, including sterile preparations when required.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy support staff.
- Promote safe medication practices and provide clinical recommendations as appropriate.
LTC Pharmacist Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication therapy, and pharmaceutical calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work alternating weekends as scheduled.
- Must be available to begin work immediately.
